This was a simply exquisite celebration for a 50th birthday. The perfect theme: Venetian Masquerade, the perfect venue: University of the Arts Dorrance Hamilton Hall, a fabulous caterer: 12th Street Catering. We had such a fun time designing this party. I bought the masks in Venice this summer while visiting so they were “real” and just stunning. We added lots of old world touches along with gorgeous linens, breathtaking flowers and vintage furniture.

Fall Wedding
This bouquet was one of my favorites to make. The bride requested an earthy style with a rustic fee. I used scabiosa pods, blue thistle, dahlias, hand wired succulents, chocolate cosmos and antique red hydrangea as a base. It was tied with natural raffia. LOVE IT!

Fall Wedding at the Lake House in Perkasie
This bride chose fabulous contrasting colors of deep purple and greens with a touch of white. Each bridesmaid had a bouquet made of one single type of flower. The trick green dianthus makes a stunning bouquet and is very “uncommon”. The colors offered many delightful options for the flowers; anemones, hydrangea, dianthus, green calla (love these!) , mokara orchids, tulips and incredible roses. The style of the centerpieces was modern using lots of glass in varying shapes and sizes.
The Lake House is an incredible place to host a wedding. We staged a gorgeous, simple chuppah with the lake as the backdrop. The beautiful bride had a stunning day.

Colonial Dames is still the best little spot in Philadelphia
Uncommon Events had the extreme pleasure of creating unique and colorful décor for a very intimate wedding at Colonial Dames labor day weekend. The Bride and groom, both in the design field, had specific style ideas. They said it was perfect! Enjoy all the colors and hip looks!
