Dear Melissa,

You make magic. I’ve known that for years but finally I got to experience it firsthand. You took my jumbled thoughts and turned John’s 50th Birthday into everything I wanted to give to him. He was so blown away by all the little details that tied everything together. Each venue was perfect and made him and everyone else wonder what’s going to happen next. You are amazing and I’m so glad to have worked with as your assistant but also as your client.

So when it came time to properly thank you for everything you’ve done, I was once again stumped. After thinking and searching for ideas, I believe I’ve come up with one that is totally you. You will be having dinner for 4 people at the James Beard House in New York. Different chefs cook there each night and for a foodie like you, I thought it would be a great chance for you to relax, explore and enjoy.

How can I begin to thank you for the spectacular place you created for us?  Every nook and cranny had another lovely scene to visually enjoy, with your painstaking efforts in full view.

We will have the photos in about six weeks, so we will be able to show you more, but just know the environment you helped us create was executed beautifully.  We have received so many kudos for the library table, the dessert bar (loved the swings!!!) ,  and so many compliments for the "reveal" into the magical twinkling dining room.  Our family and friends  provided the love, and the warmth to surround ourselves, but you made the glorious space a perfect venue to celebrate.  We danced and danced, loving every minute in your gorgeous creation.

Our family is on Cloud 9, emotionally thrilled, physically exhausted.

I called Melissa this morning but don't have your digits so I wanted to send you a quick thank-you email (even though you will of course get a formal thank you in a few weeks).

Andrew and I just wanted to thank you both so, so much for all of the hard work, time and energy you put into making our wedding day so beautiful.  We haven't really had time to fully process it all yet, but it was the absolute best day of both of our lives and we know that we owe it all to the UE team.

At first it was difficult for us to tell which one of you handled what, and I'm sure that even now, you both did things we're not even aware of, but Amanda -- thank you for handling all of the "paperwork" items leading up to the wedding.  Without your organization and attention to detail, I'm sure things would have been a total mess.  And the week of the wedding, you were on site in the heat supervising all of the deliveries (and the 300 lb man's broken leg.. yikes!).  And the day of the wedding, I dont even know what specifically you were doing because it was probably everything..  you searched for my purse for probably an hour when it turns out, my brother's girlfriend had it the entire time (sorry!).  You helped me with my train before the first look and just made me feel like you were a friend I'd had for years who I could turn to for anything.

And Jess-- where do we even start with you..? Andrew and I were blown away by the floral arrangements and decor.  Some things, like the dessert table, we didn't even get a chance to see, but guests have been giving us non-stop compliments on all of the little details that made the night so personal, and we can't thank you enough for that.  From the first meeting back 15 months ago, you took our ideas and made them into a beautiful reality that we weren't even sure was possible.  The cocktail hour and reception centerpieces were absolutely perfect, and  the girls' bouquets (and mine, too, of course), were even better than what we had pictured. Melissa said you're usually behind the scenes and don't get to see the bride/groom, so I am so glad I got a chance to see you at the end of the night to thank you in person.  Your work is impeccable and gorgeous-- thank you so much.

Andrew and I just slept for 12 hours!  Never been more exhausted..  but it's back to reality tomorrow as Mr. and Mrs. Fallis (ahh!) and we just wanted you both to know how much we appreciate all that you've done for us.

I must tell you how wonderful you are!!  You made our daughter's dream come true in every respect!!  You somehow managed to get every detail just PERFECT and Cheryl and I were able to really enjoy the wedding completely, without any worry or concern.  You are a true professional.  I have been in business many years and know firsthand that this is a rare quality.  Every vendor did their job just right and seamlessly.  Thank you for your recommendations of Big Ric, EventQuip & Starr Catering.  With your guidance, they made the party unforgettable. I know that Dana and Andrew respect and appreciate what you did for them this weekend.  They could not stop talking about you and your team.  They could not get over how all of their requests magically appeared in the right place at the right time.  From the table arrangements, flowers, decorating details, lighting and sound, photography and videos-all was just magnificently orchestrated with you as the conductor. You may be perceived by some as a bad-ass but we see right through that. When you were not looking, I saw your face when we were all partying and you were smiling ear to ear, just like a proud parent.  I know that you are a kind soul and love what you do and it's the moments like that, when you see how everyone is truly enjoying the fruits of your labor that makes you keep doing what you do, in spite of the occasional bride-zilla you may come across.

You deserve many accolades for doing what you do.

I cannot believe it has already been over a month since our wedding.  I don’t even know where to start.  Thank you for helping us put together our dream wedding.  The whole day was amazing and turned out better than I ever could have hoped for.  The decor was jaw-droppingly beautiful.   You truly created a magical feel in the ballroom at the Cricket Club.  The details were incredible: the flowers, the candles, the linens, the mismatched chairs; everything was perfect.  I knew you were good at what you do from the beginning and over the course of the year that we worked on the wedding together just re-confirmed what capable and talented hands we were in.  Even knowing this, having it all come together the way that it did was beyond my wildest dreams.  You truly are like a fairy godmother. My partner and I were married in San Francisco on August 6th, 2011.
We chose as our venue the lovely art deco City Club in the original San Francisco Stock Exchange Building. We wanted a wedding that was urban and elegant but not stuffy. And then we chose as our decorator the creative and talented Melissa Brannon.

Melissa’s attention to detail was unfailing, starting seven months before the wedding when she came to San Francisco to view the club, sample linens, talk flowers and generally query us on all the other aspects of a wedding, many of which hadn’t even occurred to us!

What Melissa produced for us was not only the most glorious room, resplendent in exquisite flowers, luminous candlelight and shimmering linens, but something even more valuable: Peace of Mind. Just knowing that she had the whole thing handled made it possible for us to thoroughly enjoy ourselves, which we did!

It was a perfect night, in no small measure because of Melissa’s creative vision, cool head and skillful execution. We love her!
