Shop Shot

Here is a shop shot of some moss covered succulent trees we made for a client’s home last year. They are one of my favorite things we did for Christmas!

Christmas Fun

These are some pics of the Christmas decorating we did for a client’s home. The nutcracker cookies were done by Casue in New York and were really beautifully done. They accented the icy theme of the dining room along with the crystal rock candy topiaries in the windows. The rest of the home was done in a rustic woodland theme and the mantle is an example how we carried that throughout the home!

A sweet winter wedding at Normandy Farms

My previous assistant was married at the beginning of the month. It was a sweet wedding with beautiful details. She wanted a winter wedding with no hint of Christmas as the wedding was held December 1st. Her  colors were creams with a touch of peach and winter gray green. Just perfect for the look. Birch containers were used for the cocktail hour. We created a really fun escort card table with a wooden rack the groom built. The escort cards, table numbers and cookies were winter white owls. The favor was an adorable beer cozy.

Gray and Yellow Pinwheels!

The place was the Sofitel Hotel, the players were a Bride and Groom with amazing vision for their wedding. The groom, Roni Lagin (please link to www.rlagindesign.com) is an inspired graphic designer. He created all of the invitation and paper pieces, the aisle runner, the gift labels…everything. This particular bride and groom wanted to have lots of fun on their wedding day. Lauren, the bride, chose pinwheels for her bouquet and for her bridesmaids. We used pinwheels in the table décor and just about everywhere. The colors of the wedding were gray, yellow and white. It added a spark of fun to a typical cold, dark month.

Uncommon Events provided the décor and planning for this wonderful couple!

A Winter 40th Bash in NYC

It was January, a bit cold and snowy but that did not stop 100 of the birthday boys best friends to fly in from all over the world to celebrate his 40th. Uncommon Events was lucky enough to be the creator and manager of this incredible 2 day weekend in NYC. The big surprise was at Mandarin Oriental Hotel on Columbus Circle followed by an after party at the Hudson hotel til 2am. Saturday luncheon at the oh-so private club downstairs at the Sherry Netherland. Saturday evening was held on the rooftop at Gramercy Park hotel. All venues were amazingly transformed by our décor department. It was spectacular!
